Binance, by means of integrating mobile money services, is enhancing crypto accessibility in West and Central Africa enabling users to buy and sell digital tokens without a bank account. This move has bolstered trading volumes in countries like Ghana, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Recently, Ghana lifted its crypto ban, introducing regulations to oversee Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) and combat financial crimes, positioning itself as a leader in Africa’s crypto market.

In Nigeria, Binance welcomed the dismissal of charges against a former executive, underscoring its commitment to compliance amid scrutiny.

In partnership with the Stellar Development Foundation, Actor Idris Elba, is promoting crypto adoption in Africa, emphasizing its potential to address financial exclusion and empower unbanked populations.

These developments altogether reflect Africa’s growing role in the global crypto economy, driven by innovation, regulation, and advocacy.
