Uniswap, the current largest decentralized exchange by trading volume has overtaken Tether’s USDT stablecoin as the largest gas spender on the Etheruem network.
According to ETHGasStation data, DeFi top exchange, Uniswap has surpassed Tether as the largest gas spender on Ethereum network generating $6.99 million worth of gas over the last 30 days.

The data which was shared late last week shows that Uniswap generated $6.99 million in gas compared to USDT’s $6.39 million.
Uniswap is at the fore-front of DeFi trades providing access to liquid pools leveraging automated market markers (AMM) to process traders with a 0.3% fee charge which is distributed across all liquidity providers attached to the Uniswap DEX.
Uniswap is currently the largest DEX trading platform by trading volume covering around 55% of the trading volumes across DEX platforms.
