Unconfirmed reports going round has it that some unscrupulous officers has graduated to checking Twitter of Nigerian youths to ascertain if they are into crypto or not.
There is no law against possession of cryptocurrencies or it’s paraphernalia in Nigeria so far it’s genuinely acquired. But report abounds of how some corrupt officers intimidate youths for possessing crypto trading apps.
This latest rumors is the latest in litany of woes young crypto traders faces in Nigeria.
A legal representative for a fintech company when contacted about the situation expresses that at the veracity of such rumours. Taking precautions as crypto traders is Paramount bearing in mind the type of skewed society we find ourselves in.
