Just now, Jack Dorsey supports bitcoin donations for the #EndSARS protests in Nigeria.
Following the recent alleged Naira account deactivation of the Feminist Coalition Group used for fundraising to support the #EndSARS protesters, the group launched a new Bitcoin donation channel to raise funds against all odds.
The group so far has raised over 0.5 Bitcoin worth over a million in Naira using Sendcash Africa, normal Bitcoin deposit address and BTCPAY.
Presently, the group is also using Wallets Africa to raise funds via Virtual Naira Bank Account.
Jack Dorsey is a world known Bitcoin maximalist. He had set up Cryptocurrency Open Patent Alliance, an organization that aims to keep crypto free and open sourced
Few days back, Dorsey through his company Square bought $50 million worth of Bitcoin. This is a total of 4,709 bitcoins, which the company says represents about 1 percent of its total assets as of the end of the second quarter.
Today, Dorsey showed support to the fight against the Police Brutality campaign in Nigeria geared towards irrevocable ban of the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) across the country.
He encouraged donors to donate with Bitcoin in the fight to #EndSARS.
