Binance Africa has just released 2020 midyear report, covering the activities and progress made so far towards adoption around Africa. 

Binance Masterclass: 

Binance Masterclass has provided valuable information and education about Bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and more to Nigeria and the rest of Africa. 

What started as a live community seminar event in January has evolved into a wide-reaching webinar as of June. 

The masterclass and webinars span from schools around Nigeria and online conferences around other countries due to the adverse effects of COVID-19. 

Binance African Community 

It started with an intensive masterclass session in January. Binance’s community in Nigeria has relentlessly provided service and education to the country’s crypto community.

In the previous months, Binance has hosted more than 100 total events, both online and offline, across nine locations in Africa. This was possible with the gracious support of more than 10,000 Binancians who were present at these gatherings.

Another stellar achievement that Binance Nigeria has recorded is the ongoing effort to reach out to campuses in the country.

In cooperation with special seven student ambassadors, from different universities in Nigeria, Binance Nigeria has hosted 20 campus webinars and 83 AMAs.

Binance Masterclass in Benin, Nigeria

This six-hour intensive seminar, held last January 24 and attended by 222 people, is a very comprehensive crash course into understanding everything about Bitcoin, blockchain, trading, and more. 

Binance Masterclass in Abuja, Nigeria

One month after, on February 22, Binance Nigeria took the Binance Masterclass to Abuja, a major city in Nigeria.  

The basics in cryptocurrencies and trading was discussed, “We have hoped to bring the Masterclass to more cities, but the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic has put a halt to offline events.”

“Amidst Covid19 and other challenges we have made significant progress so far, there is still a lot of work to do in our pursuit of the freedom of money”, Emmanuel Babalola (Binance Nigeria Business Manager).

Binance Online Masterclass Nigeria

Notwithstanding the adverse effects of the global pandemic, the crypto seminars and tutorial sessions was moved online. 

“Nothing can stop us from serving our community with crypto education. For our next masterclass, we turned to online events as the next frontier for reaching out.

“And through this two-day event, we’re able to communicate with even more Binancians. For this event, we got 500 RSVPs and an even bigger number of actual attendees at an official count of 836.”

Binance in Africa: AMA with CZ

There was also a session with the CEO of Binance tagged “Ask Me Anything” event. This is important for our community as it emphasizes how important Africa is for Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao. He answered a lot of questions from the Binance community on the continent.

Binance Masterclass: Becoming a Profitable Trader

On May 30, with the help of guest speakers such as Tanya Knowles from Binance South Africa and Chris Ani from Digital Abundance, a Crypto Trading Webinar class was held during which his 1,231 people were presented. 

Binance Masterclass: Trading Without Charts

At the midpoint of the year, more webinars was organised, covering various topics. 

On June 21, an online webinar was held during which Crypto OTC trading, Binance P2P, and more specific crypto topics, with the help of Olaleye Awe of Alpha Training Lab was covered. 

Binance Africa is looking to reach out to more persons around Africa to bring crypto adoption nearer to the ecosystem.
