We are Allocating One Million Dollars for African Projects Launching on Binance Smart Chain Across Africa — CZ

Chanpeng Zhao the CEO of Binance in a recent event for the developer community in Africa has allocated $1 million to fund developers deploying their projects on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

Binance will also be organizing an African hackathon at the end of the 8-week course. African projects who successfully win will possibly get funded to build and run on BSC.

What’s the Africa developer course about?

The target was to train 1,000 developers from Africa. Meanwhile, over 18, 000 applied for the course. The increased interest corresponds to the increased rate of persons joining the crypto community and in Africa. The Binance Nigeria team recorded over 10,000 new students in 2020. 

The African developer course launch recorded 1,000 developer attendees on Zoom. The Livestream was viewed by over 24,000 on YouTube.

Speaking about the masterclass, CZ said:

“Africa is a really important segment in our mission and we are very committed to pushing such programs in Africa and other regions. ”
