Zimbabwe Golix Cryptocurrency Exchange Claims To Have Lost Access To The Exchange Bitcoin Cold Wallet Password.
iHare reports that the CEO of Zimbabwe’s first cryptocurrency exchange allegedly lost the password in May of last year. IHare reports that the issue was confirmed by two separate sources familiar with the matter.
According to the story dated back when Zimbabwe lifted ban on cryptocurrency. The exchange was ordered to shut down operations for violating regulatory issues by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.
Following the shut down of customer service support of Golix Exchange. Its customers were unable to make a successful withdrawal request from the exchange, after the notice from Zimbabwe apex bank.
Kembo reportedly denied allegations of customers unable to make withdrawals. He claims that 90 percent of its users were able to make a successful withdrawal with any hitch.
However, Kembo did not avert the claim that he the password to the bitcoin cold wallet containing 33 bitcoin worth over $300,000 at the time of this report.
