Paxful, the peer-to-peer bitcoin kiosk recently announced today that work has commenced on a third school in Kenya, Africa. The school is funded by its #BuiltwithBitcoin initiative.

The new school is located at Machakos County, Kenya. The paxful #BuiltwithBitcoin School Project is not far from the Kenya capital, Nairobi. Children from three to six years old will be able to enroll into the new school and benefit from the project.

Moreso, aside the school being set up by Paxful, a new water well system is also being set up by ZamZam Water. ZamZam Water is also a non-profit organisation building well water around African countries powered by the bitcoin kiosk, Paxful.

The #BuiltwithBitcoin Project will also be donating $30,000 towards the initial operating costs of the school. The project will help the young children of Kenya access standard education in the country.

The bitcoin kiosk began the 100 school #BuiltwithBitcoin project in 2017 in partnership with ZamZam Water, to contribute to standard education in developing countries in Africa and beyond. The roject currently supports over 400 students in Rwanda.

“Elon Musk can have Mars, I’m interested in the invisible planet of six billion humans right here,” Paxful co-founder Ray Youssef told Decrypt. “It really is like an invisible planet. No one sees these people,” he explained.

According to Youssef, the #BuildwithBitcoin initiative came through his childhood experience. Where he grew up in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, where his parents settled as refugees from Egypt.

“That experience has stayed with me my entire life,” said Youssef “Schools are the core of civilisation.”

Paxful aims to use the #BuiltwithBitcoin initiate to bring education to over 15,000 young people throughout Africa and also provide teaching jobs to over 300 people around Africa.

“We saw the potential. Not just for Bitcoin but for human advancement,” said Youssef.
