Cristiano Ronaldo, football legend, and Binance, a global cryptocurrency exchange, have teamed up to launch “ForeverSkills,” a collection of digital items celebrating Ronaldo’s famous football skills.
Purpose of the Initiative
Sports fans often feel limited by just watching highlights or games. They want to be more involved in the sport they love—learning and showcasing their skills rather than being passive observers. They no longer want to just watch their favorite athletes; they want to actively participate in the experience, moving beyond just being spectators.
Hence, “ForeverSkills” bridges this gap by using blockchain technology. It allows fans to celebrate Ronaldo’s career by learning and sharing his seven signature football moves online. Now, fans are encouraged to recreate Ronaldo’s moves, record themselves, and post their videos on TikTok or Instagram. Binance and Ronaldo will select the top 77 submissions to win exclusive digital collectibles.
Out of all participants, one “Proof of Skills” winner and one premium digital collectible owner will get the chance to attend a masterclass with Cristiano Ronaldo himself. Also, fans who own the collectibles gain access to tutorials where Ronaldo teaches his moves step-by-step. Premium collectibles, costing $77, come with all seven tutorials and an exclusive video masterclass.
Free collectibles are available for fans with Binance accounts from Dec. 9 to Dec. 18, while premium collectibles, limited to only 777 units, are sold from Dec. 12 to Dec. 18.
This initiative brings fans closer to Ronaldo. Through the skill challenges and tutorials, fans can feel more connected and learn directly from their idol. Ronaldo, on his part, sees this as a way to inspire fans. Instead of just watching him, they can learn, practice, and improve their skills, while also experiencing his legacy in a rewarding and interactive way.
