Bybit is expanding its presence in Africa, with Kenya among its key markets. At the Bybit Kenya Meetup in Nairobi, Global Region and Business Development Executive Joshua Ya announced the firm’s efforts to secure licenses in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Nigeria, reinforcing its commitment to Africa’s digital economy through DeFi and P2P trading.

“Africa remains a key market. We are working toward acquiring the necessary licenses to operate in countries like Kenya,” Ya stated.

The event gathered fintech leaders, blockchain entrepreneurs, and traders to discuss digital assets and blockchain innovation. Bybit Africa Regional Manager Wilson Ogheneovo addressed a recent cybersecurity breach involving a third-party platform, assuring that Bybit users were unaffected and reaffirming the company’s security measures.

Bybit remains committed to Africa through local partnerships, educational initiatives, and broader crypto adoption, aiming to shape the continent’s digital financial future with secure and user-friendly trading solutions.
