The CEO of global crypto exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao ( CZ Binance) today, visited Bangui, Central African Republic were he met the country’s president Faustin-Archange Touadéra to discuss education, crypto adoption and regulatory framework.
Central African Republic CAR, this year became, the second country and first in Africa to accept Bitcoin as a currency/ legal tender in the world.
CAR further initiated and in the process of establishing a crypto hub and recently launched the country’ national digital cryptocurrency token called Sango Coin.

Recently Binance CEO visited some West African nations where he met policy makers to discuss how to boots crypto adoption and harness the benefits in the region for socioeconomic growth.
During Binance CEO visit in Senegal, he listed the purpose of his visit as partnership that will “reinforce the region as a hub of blockchain innovation and entrepreneurship”, he said.
The partnership will involve a monetary donation for community education workshops with an aim to increase blockchain literacy and skills.
Binance aims to build the fintech community across the Francophone Africa region, ensuring enthusiasts are empowered to build blockchain solutions and solve real-world problems,” Zhao further said.
