On Feb 13, Bash UTD on X (formerly known as Twitter) shared an email from PayPal saying the user’s account has been permanently deactivated citing local laws and policies. The post drew over 1.6M views on X fueling boycott calls with many other users recalling Paypal’s history of account deactivation and blocking frenzy for alleged fraud concerns since the 2000s.
